He was predeceased by: his parents, Elwyn Olmstead and Betty Olmstead (Love) of Ludington; his son Jason Michael Olmstead (Marjorie Olmstead); and his siblings, Bruce Thompson, Monte Thompson, Miles Sturdavant, Mary Lessard, Virginia Sturdavant and Betty Shull.
He is survived by: his children, Mary Ann Ogle (Christopher) of Greenville, Sherry Tauchus (Pat) of Scottsville, Timothy Olmstead of Scottsville and Mellisa Bufka (Dale) of Battle Creek; his grandchildren, Alexandria Garant, Cait Bufka, Mariah Tauchus, Caleb Bufka, Jeremiah Tauchus and Timothy Olmstead Jr.; his siblings, Raymond Gustafson of Michigan and Polly Oliver of Three Rivers; his niece Faye Kyser (David) of Cedar; his mother-in-law Mary Rae of Florida; and his siblings-in-law, Barb Rae of Florida, Mary Jo DeBauche of Wisconsin, Nancy Rae of Wisconsin, Carroll Lalinski of Dearborn and John Rae, Jr. of Ludington. He is also survived by 2 great grandchildren.
