She was predeceased by: her parents, Virgil Ruby and Sarah Katherine Green (Shaffer); and her siblings, Wilma Smith, Betty Dennis-Parr, Calvin Green, Melvin Green and Leo Green.

She is survived by: her children, William L. "Bill" (Donna Lynn Orvis), Beverly Baldwin of Greenville, Sharon Orvis of Stanton and John (Nancy Orvis); and her grandchildren, Sarah (James Rushing), Jim Hunt (Kylee Buskirk), Lisa Hunt (Gene Stewart), Lenae (K. C. Merryman), Zachery (Breanna Orvis), Kellie Craig and Patrick Craig. She is also survived by seventeen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Envelopes for memorial contributions to either the Clay Street Center or DeVos Children's Hospital will be available at the funeral home.
