He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald W. Johnson and Myrtle Marie Johnson; his sister Evonne; and his siblings-in-law, John, Jean, George and Pat.

He is survived by: his children, Tammy (Jim), Tom (Toni) and Tim (Donna); his wife Karen Elaine King; his grandchildren, Allyson, Paul, Sara, Tony, Susan, Austin, Sawyer, Maddie, Ashley, Zack, Damian, Emily, Dayne, Kim, Katie, Josh and Luke; his great grandchildren, Ian, Rillie, Nolan, Cooper, Paisleigh, Logan, Stanley, Isla, Grayson and Karsyn; his brothers, Ron (Billie), Gary (Jan) and Max (Mary Ann); and his siblings-in-law, Edna (Lynn), Mary (Clarence), Gayla, Sue and Hank. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
