He was predeceased by: his parents, William Updike and Betty Updike. He is survived by: his wife Catherine Updike (Porter); his children, Brian Updike and Molly Updike; his grandchildren, Justin Belding and Madison Bouman (Micah); and his sisters, Rosalie Lee, Kristina Mueller (Mosey), Mary McCartney (Allyn), Angie Gillmer (Greg) and Amy Butler (Chris). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
