She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Theodore King and Mary King; her former husband Roy Matthews; her husband Vern Wheeler; her sons, Paul Matthews, Alvin Matthews of Orleans, Steve Matthews (Susan) of Greenville and Guy Matthews of Orleans; her stepchildren, Fonda Jones (Larry) of Greenville and Jillene Wheeler of Grand Rapids; her grandchildren, Roy, Paula, Mark, Kristen, Trisha, Jason, James and Thad; and her siblings-in-law, Edna Sawdy, Loyal Matthews and Wilbur Matthews. She was also cherished by several great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimer's Association.
