He was predeceased by: his parents, John Charles and Mary Ellen McDonald (Gallagher); his former wife Sally; and his brothers, Jack and Andrew McDonald.
He is survived by: his wife Gale; his son Scott McDonald (Karen) of Greenville; his grandchildren, Nikki Sias (Jake) of Cedar Springs and Mitch McDonald (Katie Partyka) of Rockford; his great grandchild Alaina; his stepson Aaron Lee (Vanessa) of Grand Rapids; his cousin Chuck; and also Jude.
