She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Nielsen and Elizabeth "Belva" Nielsen (White); her husband Jack Stout; her son-in-law Jim; her siblings, Lloyd, Ken, Frieda, Agnes, Carl "Boots", Margaret and Alger; her grandsons, Adam, Andy and Jason; and her great grandchildren, Amanda and Alex.
She is survived by: her children, John Stout (Laurie) of Sycamore, IL, Joyce Morris (late Jim) of Saginaw, MI, Ruth Meikle (Denis) of Spring Hill, FL, Mike Stout (Rachelle) of Greenville, MI, George Stout (Debra) of Spring Hill, FL, Cindy Venus (Mike) of Vestaburg, MI, Jean Preimesberger (Tim) of New Hope, MN and Joe Stout (Paulette) of Royal Oak, MI; her brother John "Rit" Nielsen (Jean); and her sisters-in-law, Rosalie Stout and Nancy Nielsen. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Hurst Funeral Home (1801 W Washington St, Greenville, MI 48838). A rosary was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Mary Queen of Apostles Catholic Church (1 W Maple St, Sand Lake, MI 49343).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given in Belva's name to Trufant Friends (c/o Carolyn Hansen, 14915 Glastonbury Drive, Gowen, MI 49326).
