It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barry James Van Harn of Greenville, Michigan, who passed away on January 13, 2023, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Harn and Lorraine Van Harn (Ziski); his brother Bruce Van Harn; his niece Ananda Kemler-Hughes; and his brother-in-law Mark Pierantoni.
He is survived by: his wife Laurel Christensen; his children, Leigh Flagel (Benjamin) of Chicago and Joel Van Harn of Grand Rapids; his grandchildren, Sydney, Addy, Maggie, Jack Flagel, Ty Van Harn and Jake Pierantoni; his great grandchild Roger Pierantoni; his sisters, Jackie Kemler (Dave) of Stanton, Judy Gustin of Northville, Linda Stencel (Peter) of Northville and Mary Jane Anderson (Doug) of Poplar Grove, Illinois; and his brother-in-law Dr. Wayne Pierantoni (Annamae) of Warren. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and countless friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Flat River Community Library.
