He is survived by: his wife Ruth; his children, Janet Shy (Marty Miller), Betty Beracy (Rex), Bill Shy (Jenevra), Mark Shy (Jan), Scott Shy (Chrissy) and Charles Shy; his grandchildren, Joe Davenport, Mark Shy, Jr., Corey Bullock, Brett Pennell, Dawson Pennell, Erin Shy and Kerry Shy; his great grandchild Owen Shy; his sisters, Mary Sue Anton, Clare Winter, Loretta Alexander and Margaret Ruth Shy; and his siblings-in-law, Lorena Austin (Mark), Rosemary Hancock, Bill Spitler, Robert Skowron and Frank Taeter. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
