He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Arthur Giles and Mabel Giles (Fox); his wife Hilda Christensen; his children, Rory Giles (Lynn) of Gowen, Theresa Sherman of Greenville and Roy Giles (Karen Bull) of Greenville; his grandchildren, Michael, Aeron, Levi (Norma), Ryan (Tracy), Nathan, Adrian, Terry Lynn, Cadie, Trafford (Ashley) and Cody; his son Dennis Giles; and his siblings, Donald Giles and Iola Rogers. He was also cherished by ten great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be given to St. Paul Lutheran Church or the Sheridan VFW Post 5065.
