She was predeceased by: her parents, Gladys Blumberg and Jesse Evans; her siblings, Virginia Evans-French, Ray Evans, Jack Evans, Patricia Evans Sutherland and Marlene Evans Wheeler; her former husband Gene Helmer; and her son Brian Helmer (Marcie).

She is survived by: her husband Leon Ruthruff; her children, Bill Helmer (Cindy) of Spring Hill, FL and Julie Helmer of Lakeview; her grandchildren, Jamie Gorby (Gordon) of Stanton, Billy Helmer (Heidi) of Lakeview, Dan Helmer, Dereck Jewell, Aleah Holliday, Katie Helmer, Brian Helmer, Ryan Poulsen (Maria) and Kristen Miller (Jon); her great grandchildren, Tyler Gorby, Rylie Gorby, Vaughn Helmer, Grant Helmer, Adriana Poulsen, Ethan Poulsen, Maddy Miller and Connor Miller; her stepchild Jean Ruthruff; her stepgrandson Aaron; her stepson Tim Ruthruff (Sue); her stepgrandchildren, Olivia, Larry, Kelly and Chris Ruthruff (Teri); her children, Sara, Luke, Kara and Lori Ruthruff; her grandchildren, Josh and Chris Peck; her daughter Carol Sorsen (Jamie); her grandchildren, Madison and Hunter; her daughter Debbie Clifford (Dave); her grandchildren, Hannah and Breona; and her brother Gary Evans.
