It is with great sadness that we announce the death of April Leigh Petersen (Greenville, Michigan), born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, who passed away on October 5, 2023, at the age of 51, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Ned Welder and Lynne Welder (Friley); and her husband Michael Petersen.

From delivering donuts to hosting last-minute pandemic proms for neighboring schools, she flung the doors of the Farm wide open for anyone who needed a place to rest, to celebrate or to unwind.
