She was predeceased by: her husband Martin J Schans Sr.; her son Robert Schans; and her parents, Bert Oostindie and Rose Oostindie. She is survived by: her children, Richard, Sr. (Carolyn), Cheryl Mohr (Ron) and Martin Jr. (Sonya); her grandchildren, Richard Jr. (Tatum), Daniel, Amber Schrier (Daniel), Christine Becker (Derek), Jacob Mohr (Kelsey), Houston and Carly; and her siblings, Ron Oostindie (Valerie), Chuck Oostindie (Mary), Judy Schierbeek and Mary Zandstra (Larry). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
