He was predeceased by: his son John LaVerne. He is survived by: his wife Evelyn; his sister Sharon; and his children, Keith, Mark, William, Loretta, Nancy and Kimberly. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. John was a loving husband, brother, father, grandfather, and friend.
