Valerie Jean Wise Obituary
Valerie Jean Wise, 65, of Grayling, MI, previously of Grand Blanc, MI, passed away July 16, 2021. Valerie was born to Wesley and Elizabeth (Voorheis) Webber in Flint, MI on January 18, 1956. She married Rick Wise on November 16, 1975. Valerie always had a helping hand to anyone in need and wore a wonderful smile.She was a very strong and independent woman.
She was often known at the Grace Center as the "counselor before the counselor" to the people she met with. She also worked as unit clerk at McLaren/Flint for 20+ years. She enjoyed coloring, cooking, camping, and visits to the beach. Valerie was there for the birth of every grandchild. She loved her family very much and will be dearly missed.
Valerie is survived by her husband of 45 years, Rick Wise; children Christopher Wise and Angela Wise; grandchildren Alex Rowbotham, Tyler Watts, Coner Wise, and Trenton Lafever; siblings Vicki McIntyre, Mary Carsten, Monica Teed, and David Voorheis. Val is preceded in death by her parents. A memorial service will be scheduled for a later date.
