He is survived by: his wife Margaret Short; his children, Wayne Welch of Grayling, Susan Jones (Robert) of Gaylord, Jeffrey Welch (Kim) of Grayling and Selena Kent (Stacey) of Grayling; and his siblings, Jon Bruce Welch (Ruth), Aubrey Welch (Linda), Glenna Hessler and Denise Merithew (Don). He is also survived by 10 Grandchildren, 13 Great Grandchildren.
