He is survived by: his son Ian Rakunas; his former wife Colleen Hill-Rakunas of Traverse City; his parents, Fred Rakunas and Gwen Rakunas of Eastport; his brother Jeff Rakunas (Rachel) of Cypress, Texas.; his nephews, Drew Taylor of Algonac, Mich and Owen Rakunas; his niece Peyton Rakunas of Cypress; and his uncles, Ernie Rubas of Oak Lawn, Larry Rakunas (Mary) of St. Charles and Casey Rakunas of Woodridge.
