He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Ann Phillips; his children, Thomas Westphal of Battle Creek, David Westphal of Battle Creek, Karen Timmerman (Drew) of Hartland, WI and Michael Westphal (Katrina) of Denver, CO; his stepchildren, John Gundrum (Cheri) of Girad, MI, Teka Ruhlig (Daniel) of Chelsea and Rose Williams of Kalamazoo; and his siblings, Ronald Westphal (Audrey) of Romeoville, IL, Lois Westphal of Piedmont, AL, Barbara Nicholson (James) of Chesterfield, MI and Susan Bishoff of Waterford, MI.. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Directors are following current CDC recommendations during the COVID-19 pandemic, and those in attendance will be instructed accordingly; masks must be worn.
