He was predeceased by: his parents, Maxine D. Fater and Floyd W. Fater; his daughter Barbara Lynn Fater; and his grandchildren, Jacob and Faith Beutler.
He is survived by: his wife Janice "Jan" Fater; his children, Laura Ann Beutler and Steven Craig Fater, II; and his grandsons, Lucas Owen Beutler and Cole Joseph Beutler. He is also survived by many other family members and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St. Paul's Episcopal Church (309 S Jackson St, Jackson, MI 49201).
