He was predeceased by: his father Richard Gibson Jr.; and his brother Darryl Gibson. He is survived by: his wife Cathy Gibson; his mother Hazel Gibson; his children, Erik Tyler Gibson and Amanda Jean Gibson; his stepchildren, Ryan Nichols and Kasie Nichols; his grandchildren, Zane Smith and Treven Nichols; and his siblings, Shawn Derek Cole (Shanna) and Gregory Gibson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
