With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Russell Wayne Gibson of Grass Lake, Michigan, born in Jackson, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 7, 2024 at the age of 62. He was predeceased by: his father Richard Gibson Jr.; and his brother Darryl Gibson. He is survived by: his wife Cathy Gibson; his mother Hazel Gibson; his children, Erik Tyler Gibson and Amanda Jean Gibson; his stepchildren, Ryan Nichols and Kasie Nichols; his grandchildren, Zane Smith and Treven Nichols; and his siblings, Shawn Derek Cole (Shanna) and Gregory Gibson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Vickers Leslie Funeral Home (109 Church St, Leslie, MI 49251). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Woodlawn Cemetery.
