He was predeceased by: his parents, Rudolph Henry and Edna Elinor Ahrens (Hein); his wife Irene Olga Sviatko; his grandchildren, Kathryn Lancaster and Justin Ahrens; his siblings, Wesley Ahrens (Sylvia), Dallas Ahrens (Ruth) and Janice Lemke (Delvin); and his brother-in-law Frank Sviatko (Stella).
He is survived by: his children, Theresa "Terri" Lancaster (Danny) of Chelsea, Andrew Ahrens (Lisa) of Grass Lake and Mark Ahrens of Grass Lake; his grandchildren, Kimberley Potocki (Chris), Thomas Lancaster, David Ahrens (Cindy) and Ashley Ahrens; his great grandchildren, Evelyn, Josephine, Henry Potocki, Maya Ahrens and Kendall Lancaster; his brother-in-law Andrew Sviatko (Margaret); and his friend Homecare. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
