He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Lyon and Marie Lyon (Duffy); his siblings, Mary Viergever (Roger), Lawrence Lyon, Richard Lyon and Daniel Lyon (Debra); and his sisters-in-law, Karen Rita Lyon and Holly Lyon.

He is survived by: his wife Julie Puite; his siblings, Kenneth "Mick" Lyon, James Lyon (Sonia), William Lyon, Thomas Lyon (Cindy), Bernard "Bernie" Lyon, Kathleen Buzun, Janet Sandy and Donna Nawrocki (Joe); and his sister-in-law Donna Lyon. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
