She was predeceased by: her parents, John Aukema and Grace Aukema; and her siblings, Nellie Vriese, Anne Kuperus, Audrey Berkenpas and David Aukema.
She is survived by: her husband John; her siblings, Doug Aukema, Bill Aukema, John Aukema, Grace Roosien and Claire Elgersma; and her brother-in-law Henry Byma. She is also survived by her 20 grandchildren and 45 great grandchildren.
