It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Merrit Wayne Guerne of Grant, Michigan, born in Muskegon, Michigan, who passed away on June 5, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Phillip Guerne and Ethel Guerne (Carlson); his daughter Trena; and his half-brother Richard. He is survived by: his wife LaVon Zerlaut; his sons, Steven Guerne (Cindy) and Wayne Guerne (Lisa); and his sisters, Evelyn Neiberger, Clione Carr and Cheryl Horn (George). He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
