He was predeceased by: his wife Jacquelyn "Jackie"; his parents, Herman Hyma and Emma Hyma; and his siblings, Arthur Hyma and Edith Cunningham.
He is survived by: his children, Kimberly Shadwick (Richard), Alan Hyma (Tracy) and Brian Hyma (Melissa); his grandchildren, Devon, Ethan, Tyler, Abigail, Nora, Titus and Reid; and his great grandchildren, Jaydin and Sapphire.
