He was predeceased by: his wife Elizabeth "Ann"; and his daughter Kimberly Schermer. He is survived by: his son James Powell II; his grandchildren, Austin Schermer, Trevor Schermer, James Powell III, Breanne Schermer and Jenna Powell; and his great grandchild Ryder Schermer.
