He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Deering and Maude Deering (Albright); and his siblings, Dale Deering, Bud Deering, Thelma Deering, Mary Antor and Joan Hazen.
He is survived by: his wife Noma Perry Moore; his children, Jacob Deering III (Laurie) of Wayland, Scott Moore (Rose) of Grant, Jodie DeYoung of Rockford, Laura Bates of Newaygo, Peggy Meeuwenberg (Scott) of Sparta, Chris Olk (Geary) of Holland and Sally Prangley (Steve) of Jonesboro; his sister Helen Deering of Byron Center; and his friend Greg Gagnon. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great- grandchildren.
