He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene P. Sorden and Germaine Sorden (Boucher); and his siblings, Keith Carpenter and Joyce Carpenter. He is survived by: his sister Vivian Sorden of Grant, MI; his wife Elaine Beth; his children, Diane Hogue (Jim) of Grand Haven, MI, Joe Sorden (Chris) of Rockford, MI, Mary Beth Winn (Tim) of Coweta, OK, Rev. Karen Sorden of Cadillac, MI and Dan Sorden (Peg) of Newaygo, MI; his grandchildren, Jesse, Jacob, Eric, Ben, Geana, Joe, Brandi and Matt; his great grandchildren, Isaac, Katey, Oliver, Cleo, Sutton, Noelle, Owen, Abigail, Isabel, Adam (AJ), Klayten and Aubrey; and his cousins, Norm, Shirley DeVries, Raymond and Arlene Boucher. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
