He was predeceased by: his parents, Jannes "John" and Lizzie Ausema (Monsma); his wife Arline; his son Terry Ausema; his grandchildren, Jamie and Adam Ausema; and his siblings, Edward and Helen.
He is survived by: his children, Jim Ausema, Jan Ausema, Joann Ausema, Tim Ausema (Roxanne) and Neal J. Ausema (Dawn); his grandchildren, Stacee Gearns (Mike), James II Ausema (Sarah), Chris Ausema (Kim), Shelby Shark (Noah), Jeremy Ausema, Jersee Ausema, Teslynn Ausema and Morgann Ausema; his great grandchildren, McKayla, Brody, Adam, Julian, Raegan, Hayden, Corbin, Braxton, Abigail and Tatum; and his siblings-in-law, Paul Zimmerman, Walt Drayper, Marv Boone, Jeanne Ausema, Karen Boone and Virginia Boone. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
