She was predeceased by: her parents, Alger Matthews and Clara Matthews; and her siblings, Alger Matthews (Judy) and Patricia (Norm Griswold). She is survived by: her husband Bud; her son Arne Johnson Jr. (Kim); her grandchildren, Anna and Brock; her daughter Stephanie Tahn (Mark); her grandchildren, Alex and Sarah; and her siblings, Jim, Rick (Linda), Jan and Gerry. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations in Carolyne's name to Faith Hospice at faithhospicecare.org, or to Alley Irish, the compassionate nurse and owner of Just Like Family Caregivers LLC, who cared for her with unwavering love and dedication at her bedside, alongside family, until the very end.
