He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Gerald, Isabel Krygier and Yvonne Akey; and his uncle Greg Knight. He is survived by: his parents, Scott Akey and Nancy Akey; his siblings, Sean Shamblin, Derick Shamblin and Tara Mix (Jamey); his niece Maisie Mix; his nephew Myles Mix; and his grandfather Mike Akey. He is also survived by many extended family and friends.
