He was predeceased by: his wife Joan (VanWingeren); his parents, Jay Retsema and Christine Retsema; and his brother James Retsema. He is survived by: his daughters, Deborah Laughlin (Owen), Janet Spiegel (Brad) and Laura Woolford (Matthew); and his brother Arthur Retsema. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
