He was predeceased by: his father Charles DeJong. He is survived by: his wife Betty (Sterk); his children, Barb Schuitema (Doug), Bonnie VanAntwerpen (Joel), Robert DeJong (Kathy), Salli Vugteveen (Craig) and Patti Sweet (Dave); his siblings, Andy DeJong (Debbie) and Janet Alman (Jack); and his siblings-in-law, Jean DeJong, Jeanette Visser, Donna Sterk, Reet Sterk, Ken Sterk and Jim Schipper. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren.
