With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lily M. Mekkes (Grandville, Michigan), who passed away on November 17, 2021 at the age of 87. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Lily M. Mekkes to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her former husband Kenneth Mekkes; and her parents, Sebert Buwalda and Katherine Buwalda. She is survived by: her children, Linda Patterson (Tim), Dan Mekkes (Tina) and Tim Mekkes; her grandchildren, Adam, Chad (Brittany), Ashley (Dan), McKinley (Jake), Danielle, Hannah, Grace and Levi; and her husband Ken. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren, as well as many extended family and friends.

In memory of Lily and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Byron Center Bible Church or Mel Trotter Ministries.
