He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Scripsema and Mary Scripsema; his siblings, Fran Christians, Robert Scripsema and Donald Scripsema; and his sons-in-law, Michael Wyngarden and Ronald VanDyke.
He is survived by: his children, Dave Scripsema (Deb), Sue VanDyke and Beth Hekhuis (Jim). He is also survived by nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
