We are sad to announce that on December 17, 2022, at the age of 75, Kenneth Gates of Grandville, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmore "Bud" Gates and Esther Gates. He is survived by: his wife Dori; his siblings, Ross Gates, Terry (Kim Gates), Craig (Marcie Gates), Darla (John Lamacusa), Brent (Rebecca Gates) and Ron (Lelaine Gates); his siblings-in-law, Doug, Diane Kooistra, Duane and Kay Kooistra; and his brother Marv Alkema.

Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Wounded Warrior Project or MKD's Fill the Fountain benefiting Starlight Shores (accepting new unwrapped toys as donations).
