She was predeceased by: her husband Tony Akkerman; her son David Akkerman; and her parents, Henry DeVries and Florence DeVries. She is survived by: her children, Ronda, Doug Bolle and Kelly Akkerman; and her siblings, Fred DeVries, Larry (Lois DeVries), Jack (Pat DeVries) and Betty Hildebrand. She is also survived by four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
