She is survived by: her sister-in-law LaVon Kooistra (Jerry); and her nieces and nephews, Jo Weemhoff, Judy Hamilton, Grace Macleod, Ken P. Kooistra, Margie Bakker, Fred Kooistra, Joyce Marcus, Ken J. Kooistra, Darlene Ritsema, Mark Kooistra, Marcia Koll and Don Kooistra.
In honor of Joann and in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sunset Legacy Foundation.
