He was predeceased by: his brother Carl Van Dyken; and his son-in-law Stan Buter. He is survived by: his wife Hildreth; his children, Carmen Slachter (Terry), Karen Bazen (Fred), Susan Harvey (Mike), Phyllis Hepp (Brent), Jennifer Cox (Mark) and Steven Van Dyken (Tammy); his grandchildren, Abby Blurton (Scott) and Anna Mulder (Andy); his children, Dan Buter (Casey), Mike Buter (Clare), Richard Bazen (Jenn), Melissa Marsh, Stephanie Fuhrman (Dustin), LeAnn Dudasko (Evan), Linda Varvel (Jacob), Erich Harvey (Cassie), Andrew Hepp, Bryant Hepp, Jenna Cox, Timothy Cox, Rachel Van Dyken and Matthew Van Dyken; his siblings, Janice Dykhouse and David Van Dyken; and his siblings-in-law, Alnora Mast, Sharon Engelsman, Jerald Engelsman (Carole), Janice Loew, Glenn Engelsman, Carol Timmer (Jim) and Cindy Engelsman. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
