He was predeceased by: his parents, George Groenink and Caroline Groenink; and his grandparents, Tony, Alice Ferwerda and Nellie Grashuis.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his children, Tony Groenink and Tami Groenink; his siblings, Ken, Sally Groenink, Kathie, Jim Kregel, Beth and Brent DeHamer; his parents-in-law, Gord and Joyce Gort; and his siblings-in-law, Linda, Jim Mulder, Alan, Vicki Gort, Tom and Cheri Gort. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
