Gerald Formsma Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerald Formsma (Grandville, Michigan), born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, who passed away on October 6, 2024, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Formsma and Charlotte Formsma; his son-in-law Brian McVeigh; and his brothers, Jay, Duane and Gordon.
He is survived by: his significant other Constance Yvonne Hartman; his children, Kari Formsma (Larry Hembroff) of Jenison, Hunter Boone of Kalamazoo, Daniel Formsma (Rene) of Sturgis and Kelly McVeigh of Okemos; and his friend Lou Gaspar. He is also survived by his children, 7 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
They sang in church choirs everywhere they lived including United Methodist Churches in Parchment, MI, Phoenix, AZ and Elkhart, IN until the Covid-19 epidemic ended that service.
