He was predeceased by: his parents, Bert Carey and Arva Carey; his son Mark Carey; and his sisters, Margaret Anne Carey and Joyce Cooper.
He is survived by: his wife Anne Carey; his children, Diana Carey Timmer (Robert), Karlene Ritter (Randy), Scott Ecenbarger (Staci), Steven Ecenbarger-Carey (Sarah) and Carrie Wittbrodt; and his daughter-in-law Tera Carey. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and one on the way; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
