With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Donald Ray Nelson (Grandville, Michigan), who passed away on December 29, 2022 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his former wife Barbara Kay Nelson; and his parents, Morris "Ivan" Nelson and Lula Nelson. He is survived by: his wife Lola Smith; his children, Rodney Nelson, Pamela Lahuis, Carl, Cynthia Bossenbroek (Nelson) and Bernie Groendyk; and his grandchildren, Ferrell, Tammy Clark (Herrema), Shane, Paige Herrema, Chad Herrema, Todd Herrema, Clint, Andrea Herrema, Davin Nelson, Christopher Nelson, Ryan, Cortney VanVels (Mulder), Andrew, Stacey Van Eck (Mulder), Jeremy and Megan Kwant (Mulder). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
In honor of Donald, contributions may be made to the Sunset Legacy Foundation.
