He was predeceased by: his sisters, Gloria (Don DeMaagd) and Arie Vanderheide. He is survived by: his wife Pat Joustra; his children, Diane, Greg Bouma, Doug Joustra (Shawna Burch) and Barb; his grandchildren, Brooke, John Flikkema, Casey, Rachel Bouma, Jamie Bouma, Nick Joustra, Meagan, Mark Dulyea, Ashley, Steve Giles, Kelsey, Mitch Pepper, Taylor, Jeremy Otto, Brittany and Jared Dykstra; his great grandchildren, Nolan, Hailey, Grant, Asher, Juniper, Olivia, Levi, Jameson and Lainey; and his sister Marlene VanderHeide. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
