He was predeceased by: his brother Edward James Sawicki; and his sister-in-law Jane Murray. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Sawicki; his grandchildren, Christopher, Tanya Sawicki, Jennifer, Rob Misner, Bailey, Mallory, Caleb, Robert, Joe Sawicki, Patti and Pete VanderWeide; his siblings, Judy (Ken Walker) and Thomas (Grace Sawicki); and his in-laws, Judy Sawicki, Ann Murray, Joyce, Jim Alty and Bruce Murray. He is also survived by 4 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 29th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, December 30th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Redeemer Parish (2700 Baldwin St, Jenison, MI 49428).
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Wounded Warrior Project.
