He was predeceased by: his wife Thelma (Groendyke); and his granddaughter Sarah Capman. He is survived by: his sister Floretta Hanson; his son Dale (Barb VanderZouwen); his grandchildren, Jason VanderZouwen, Joni and Kevin Leslie; his son Mark (Cindy VanderZouwen); his grandchildren, Ryan, Susan VanderZouwen, Jodi, Josh Zick and Devon Capman; his son Steve (Clara VanderZouwen); his grandchildren, Raeanne, Dan VanDerPlaats, Liz, Dustin Adam, Kristine and Nick Coulston; his daughter Dawn VanderZouwen; and his great grandchildren, Hunter, Konnor, Emmah, Anna, Samara, Hadley and Vella.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 12th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Zion Reformed Church (4457 36th St SW, Grandville, MI 49418). As Thelma left us during COVID, and to honor their commitment to each other, a service in celebration of life for both Cornelius and Thelma will be held on October 12 at Zion Reformed Church, 4457 36th Street in Grandville.
In honor of Cornie and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Zion Reformed Church.
