He was predeceased by: his parents, Willem Schoonveld and Lysbeth Schoonveld; and his siblings, Willem (Klazien), Pilke (Hidzert), Sien (Sacharias), Johannes (Fokje), Klaas (Annie), Piet, Martje (Klaas), Jacoba (Heero), Sjoukje (Joop), Boukje and Trijntje (Dik).
He is survived by: his wife Anita (Bouma); his children, Eric Schoonveld (Shawna), Sheri Dehaan (Darin), Tim Schoonveld (Lisa) and Ryan Schoonveld (Heather); his grandchildren, Ashley Miller (Nicholas), Kenedy Shelton (Lucas), Alyssa Main, Elle Schoonveld, Hunter Main, Elijah Schoonveld, Jared Dehaan, Lucy Dehaan, Teagan Schoonveld, Ziggy Schoonveld and Charlie Schoonveld; and his siblings, Ynskje (Harm) and Harke (Elly). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ivanrest Church (3777 Ivanrest Ave SW, Grandville, MI 49418). A memorial service was held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
