With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Virginia Hamernik (Grand Rapids, Michigan), who passed away on January 1, 2019 at the age of 100. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her spouse Everett Hamernik; her parents, Wilbur and Elizabeth (Everett); and her sisters, Ethel, Eleanor, Marie and Ruth.

She is survived by: her children, Everett Hamernik (Judy), Pat DeJong (Fred), Tom Hamernik (Kristin) and Bob Hamernik (Barb); and her sister Margeret. She is also survived by 7 Grandchildren, 16 Great Grandchildren, 5 Great-Great Grandchildren.

Donations in her honor may be made to Association for the Blind 456 Cherry St. SE, Grand Rapids, Michigan 49503.
