He was predeceased by: his parents, Joaquin Gonzalez and Julia Gonzalez; his nephew Jordan "Coco" Gonzalez; and his great grandchildren, Ny'Anna Johnson and Jordan Sleet.
He is survived by: his wife Carmen Gonzalez; his children, Manuel Matos (Andrea), Carmen Rosado (Freddie), Julia Robinson and Areli Johnson (Arnold); and his grandchildren, Christina Sleet (Quinton), Maria Mejias, Cassondra Brewster (Carlton), Jose Mejias (Marcela), Jacqueline Pearson, Nathan Johnson, Luis Mejias, Analicia Johnson, Juan Rosado, Terrance Shackelford and Juan Matos. He is also survived by 34 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (4031 Clyde Park Ave SW, Wyoming, MI 49509). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
