He is survived by: his grandchildren, Rhonda, Todd Kempema, Jessica Kempema, Michael Kempema, Julianna Kempema, Makaylee Kempema, Trenton Crandall, Marcie and Brandon Vos (Mylie Vos); and his siblings, Tim Crandall, L. Susan, James Azzar, Nancy and Steve Steketee. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Kidney Fund.
